The Air Jordan 4 Retro London is a special edition of the AJ4 created as a tribute to London and its local street culture. The design was created as part of Jordan Brand’s urban series and is intended exclusively for the United Kingdom and the European Union. The concept behind the model draws on the city’s raw character, its concrete architecture, and an environment that, according to Jordan Brand, shapes people through daily work, pressure, and constant movement. The upper is primarily crafted from gray suede with a distinct, slightly hairy texture. Dark Smoke Grey and Smoke Grey form the main part of the design, while black appears on the tongue, laces, lacing system elements, and parts of the sole. The lower portion is complemented by earthy shades of Hemp and Red Bark, which give the model a more raw, slightly weathered finish. The materials used and the muted color palette are intended to directly evoke the rough surfaces and urban landscape of London. The most significant city-inspired details are found on the heel and under the tongue. The heel features a special “NIKE LDN” logo, and a similar motif also appears on the included tag. Under the tongue is an inverted patch reading “SAY LESS,” which remains a hidden detail visible only upon closer inspection of the shoe’s construction. The set also includes additional laces in Red Bark. The Air Jordan 4 Retro London retains the classic AJ4 construction with mesh side panels, the characteristic lacing system “wings,” and a visible Air unit under the heel. However, the suede surface gives the entire upper a distinctly different texture than in standard leather versions. The dark structural elements are seamlessly integrated into the upper, allowing the material’s texture, the “LDN” markings, and the earthy sections of the outsole to take center stage. The release of the Air Jordan 4 Retro London is limited to the United Kingdom and European Union countries, underscoring the local character of the entire project. The model is set to go on sale on September 17, 2026, via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, and an early release also took place at select London boutiques. This release was therefore designed not just as another AJ4 colorway, but as a specific urban edition with details that directly reference London.
