The ASICS Gel-NYC Ivory Clay Grey builds on the Gel-NYC’s sophisticated design, combining elements inspired by several ASICS running silhouettes into a single, more robust and technical form. In this version, the design is based on a calm, neutral color scheme, allowing the panel layout, the proportions of the upper, and the variety of materials to take center stage. The silhouette retains the dynamic lines of the side elements and the characteristic, extended sole.The color scheme combines Ivory with cool Clay Grey and silver details. The light base covers most of the upper’s surface, while the grey panels visually reinforce the structure and highlight the model’s side lines. Metallic elements appear around the ASICS logo and selected synthetic overlays, breaking up the more matte texture of the materials. Thanks to the limited color palette, the overall look feels more organized and balanced, despite the heavily layered construction.The upper is made from a combination of breathable mesh, synthetic panels, and suede reinforcing elements. The mesh provides ventilation and reduces the weight of the construction, while the suede and overlays stabilize the whole and maintain the model’s characteristic shape. The combination of several different textures ensures the surface remains visually diverse despite the subdued color scheme.The outsole incorporates design elements inspired by the GEL-CUMULUS 16 and features GEL technology for cushioning and energy dissipation while walking. The construction relies on lightweight foam and a segmented outsole design that enhances flexibility and ground contact.
