Superstar Pokémon Charmander

The adidas Superstar Pokémon Charmander is a special edition of the classic Superstar created as part of the collection celebrating Pokémon's 30th anniversary. The model is dedicated to Charmander, one of the three first-generation starter Pokémon, and its distinctive features have been directly incorporated into the shoe’s design and color scheme. It debuted on September 22, 2026, and is part of the larger adidas x Pokémon anniversary series. The Cream White, Shock Yellow, and Orange color scheme references Charmander’s appearance. A light-colored leather base covers most of the upper, while yellow and orange accents appear on the details, giving the shoe a warmer feel. The most recognizable element is the three adidas stripes depicted as flames, which directly reference the Pokémon’s Fire type and the flame on its tail. A small Charmander graphic also appears on the side of the upper, clearly identifying the character featured in this specific release. The classic rubber Shell Toe remains one of the Superstar’s most important design elements and has been retained in this version as well. As a result, the anniversary design is still easily recognizable as an adidas Superstar, despite its extensive references to the Pokémon universe. The adidas Superstar Pokémon Charmander marks the beginning of a three-part set dedicated to the character’s evolution. As part of the collection, separate Superstar versions have also been released for Charmeleon and Charizard, with each interpreting the Pokémon’s appearance through different materials, textures, and details. For Charmander, adidas focused primarily on light-colored leather, fiery three stripes, and simple character graphics. The model thus combines the classic Superstar silhouette with specific references to Charmander, rather than limiting the collaboration solely to the inclusion of the Pokémon logo.
